My piece is entitled Grasping. This boot camp was the unconventional surface. I used a receipt to draw on and pen. The drawing shows four hands with three of them grasping and one hanging down with a ball in its hand. The drawing is supposed to represent a struggle for power with the all representing power. I chose to use the receipt since it is related to money and power as well.

This drawing is entitled Duck Guts. This was the Prismacolor book camp. This drawing was about the possible anatomy of a duck. I used very vibrant color to give a more fun feel to an anatomical drawing.
This piece was a caligraphy boot camp. It is based off a song called Sunflower and is just a collection of all my favorite parts from the song. I used markers to make the different fonts with and various different colors and styles to keep it fun.

This piece is based on a traditional dancer from Colombia. The drawing is supposed to capture the passion the dancer has for her country. The materials used are graphite and magazine. I chose the colors red, yellow, and blue since they are the colors of the Colombian flag. The magazine adds contrast which is supposed to draw attention to the dancer's outfit.
This drawing is based off of a traditional Chinese fan dancer. I chose to draw her in a common pose from the dance to represent the country. The materials I used were graphite, magazine and construction paper. The graphite and paper add contrast and puts focus on the outfit and fan. The construction paper also allows for it to stick out and have creases like an actual fan. More basic and simple shapes are also used as a different texture against the skirt and sleeves.
This dancer is from India and is in a distinct pose to highlight how unique India's dance style can be. The materials I used to make the drawing was graphite, magazine, and sting. The outfit from India are often very shiny so I used magazine that reflects and string with glitter. The drawings and the magazine contrast which adds emphasis on the outfit.
In this drawing, there is an Irish dancer. I chose to have her smiling and in an energetic pose since the dance requires a lot of energy and has a more joyful tome to it. I also chose green for the outfit since it is the national color. The materials I used were graphite and magazine which add contrast and emphasis on the outfit.
This drawing depicts a dancer from Ghana. I chose bright colors for the piece since the traditional outfits often have outfits with vibrant colors. I chose a stiff pose since the dance is often made up of many isolated movements. The materials I used are graphite, magazine, and rice. The magazine and graphite add high contrast and emphasis on the outfit. Rice is used as jewelry to add a more natural tone and as well as a different texture.
In this piece is a traditional Hawaiian dancer. The outfit was made up of real foliage which is why I chose to use green. The materials I used are graphite and twist ties which create contrast. The wist ties allow for an overlapping effect as well as give a different texture.
